The shakedown run for the LE went well, blissfully well, and by the time we reached Helland Bridge over the Camel all the water in the silencer had turned to vapour and gone.

I’m sure I don’t need to remind Bridge Club regulars that the origin of the term shakedown run probably by goes back to the days when boats used sand or other granular material as ballast.
