130130 Dorothy’s Bridge

Next on the list of “must” visits for the Bonneville was this splendid ford and clapper over the Loveny (or St Neot) River.

The bridge carries the track to and indeed from Penkestle Moor.

This is a relatively recent discovery to which I was pointed a year or two back by the excellent Dorothy who lived here once but is now enjoying life elsewhere in the Commonwealth.

As the Bonnie is on road tyres and the East Colliford mud is so slippery just now I chickened out slightly and parked at a discreet distance.

Roll on the summer.3 doro DSC07115 (1)

Thanks Dorothy, Gill sends her regards.
