“Don’t own so much clutter that you will be relieved to see your house catch fire.” ― Wendell Berry, Farming: a hand book

This came on the overnight dongle from Australia, they spell things differently there. Thanks Trevor.

Set and balanced the twin carbs on Renzo the TX650 Yamaha; result, improved zip and smoothness.

Took a spin over to the lovely village of Berry*.  Alexander Berry was a Fife-born surgeon who helped pioneer European settlement hereabouts. The locality was known as Broughton Creek when established in 1825 but the name was changed to Berry in 1889, following the death of David Berry, Alexander’s brother, to honour the Berry family.

I was too early for the donut van so I rode down Bundewalla valley, bounded by the Cambewarra range, for a couple of pics of the wee bridge over theCreek.

Then back to the donut van for a calorie uncontrolled breakfast before heading home.

Most satisfactory.

“Manifesto: The Mad Farmer Liberation Front”

Go with your love to the fields.
Lie down in the shade. Rest your head
in her lap. Swear allegiance
to what is nighest your thoughts.
As soon as the generals and the politicos
can predict the motions of your mind,
lose it. Leave it as a sign
to mark the false trail, the way
you didn’t go. Be like the fox
who makes more tracks than necessary,
some in the wrong direction.
Practice resurrection.
